Computing Gadget: 3D Video With USB Webcam

Certainly, there aren’t a lot of innovations going on in the webcam world. For business video conferencing alone, the 1.3MP integrated video camera on your laptop should serve you just fine. That might suffice if you want a 2D video representation of yourself, but to add another dimension to what often regraded as a boring video chat, Minoru 3D is moving forward with its dual-lens webcam.

Right now, the Minoru 3D is still a proof of concept in that it can create a stereoscopic effect for your videos (eg. The London-based company will reveal more pricing and availability details when it finally ships the first 3D webcam in December.

Weird Gadget: USB Key Skull Ring

usb_skull_ring_2.jpg

The recent evil fascination of skulls has taken new heights and gizmos are the last things spared from its delirious fangs. The one I caught while browsing is the skull USB Key memory, which you could also wear as a ring. It stores up to 2 GB memory and comes in a variety of colors. How about the pink one!! I know it’s too cute for a skull, but it better be so if you want to concentrate on work.

usb_skull_ring_3.jpg

Why it costs $145 you ask? It is because the USB device is hand-made and order made and it takes nearly 2-3 long weeks to make each one! Also check out the Crystal Pirate Mouse from the computer peripherals family.
