Freeware Application: Analyzer for Software EULAs

When installing software one of the first things you need to do is agree to the EULA (End-User License Agreement)… you know, that 12,000 word small print included with virtually every software program you install. I am as guilty as the other 98% of PC users out there who do not read them, and just click “I Agree” and continue along. For all I know I might be agreeing to give away my first born!

Although it is never something that drastic, it would be nice to find the most important aspects of the agreement as some EULA’s included in software such as Microsoft, Google, Firefox and others can be quite confusing. Even fun and games software has a legal EULA such as World Of Warcraft. The team at JAVACOOL Software (developers of SpywareBlaster) have created an EULA analyzer which allows us to quickly check out the fine print and discover if there is undesirable behavior of the programs we install.

Installation is simple, just follow the wizard and you will be ready to roll. The main GUI is the place to begin to access different functions. You can perform manual updates, view statistics, review previous reports, and most importantly scan EULA’s. You can also purchase a Pro license ($19.99) which allows automatic EULA scanning and updates.

Spicy eBook: The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Amazing Sex

completeIdiotGuidetoAmazingSex.jpegMajority of male crossdressers are married with children; and, according to the Hite Report, nearly 60 percent of men ages 61 to 75 said their desire for sex remained steady or increased with age, Viagra or no.

Locker, a sex educator and WCBS-TV relationship correspondent, has been a sex educator for more than a decade. That said, she should have placed the facts on contraceptives and sexually transmitted diseases earlier in the book, before the hot and heavy photographs of sexual positions. That gripe aside, Amazing Sex is worth investigating by both sexual neophytes and experienced couples looking to maintain a state of hot monogamy.

Book Description

You’re no idiot, of course! You know there’s more to sex than the missionary position, that oral sex doesn’t mean talking about sex, and that safe sex doesn’t mean doing it in a bank vault. But when it comes to having a truly amazing sexual encounter, you feel like there’s just no sizzle in your sex life. You can make things hot! The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Amazing Sex has fresh advice on how to make smart sexual choices, cast aside your inhibitions, and keep your sex life exciting well into your golden years.

Freeware Application: Vistumbler - Map Wi-Fi Hotspots

Free, open-source application Vistumbler scans wireless networks within range of your Wi-Fi antenna, tracks signal strength over time, and handles pretty much everything else that other apps of this kind do.

vistumbler.jpg

What sets Vistumbler apart from the rest is its support for GPS and live Google Earth tracking, which plots hotspots on a map. The whole thing is really cool. Still, Vistumbler is an excellent tool even without without the GPS to Google Earth mapping.

Vistumbler is free download, Windows Vista only.

Freeware Application: Ashampoo Burning Studio

What are the main requirements of a burning software? It should obviously support all operations that a user would need. It should also be fast, resource friendly. Free would be nice as well. Lots of different CD burning software programs are available these days on the Internet, from CD Burner XP over Deepburner to IMGBurn. Most of them handle the basic burning operations just fine but many are unfortunately making them more complex than they should be. Others use to many resources, have an irritating user interface or crash to often to make them the burning software of choice.

Ashampoo Burning Studio Free is an old version of the burning software of Ashampoo which has been released to the public. Everyone can download and use it without having to register or pay money for it. It starts up reasonably fast without splash screens and long loading times. All operations are selectable from the main menu. Some operations are further divided, the Burn Files and Folders category contains options to burn a new disk or update an existing one.

Burning Studio Free supports CD, DVD and Blu-Ray disks. Here is what you can do with the burning software:

  • Burn files to disk
  • Burn or rip music.
  • Burn movies
  • Copy a disk
  • Create or burn disk images
  • Erase rewritable disks
  • Backup or restore files

The list is pretty comprehensive. The most popular image formats (img, iso, cue/bin) are supported by Burning Studio Free which should be sufficient for most users.
