Yet another “tower defense” game? These games are very derivative, but the thing is, they’re extremely fun to play. Whiteboard Tower Defense uses a whiteboard metaphor for your battleground, which works insofar as it gives a excuse for a new version of the game with different towers and enemies to deal with.

The graphics are predictably sparse, consisting only of single-color towers and enemies on a white background. The sound effects are cute, but maybe a little annoying – though since most people will likely be playing this at work, make sure to hit the mute button at the top-right of the window. Armor Games seems to consistently produce high-quality browser gaming, and this game while not a standout certainly fits in with their stable of games.

The game play in Whiteboard Tower Defense is surprisingly challenging, with the Easy level providing significantly more difficulty than Easy on the original Tower Defense game. I shudder to think how difficult the higher levels are.

Switch is an addictive and yet really simple skill/puzzle game based on the premise of collecting balls. You must collect the same colour, otherwise you’ll lose all your balls, and your life. Simply click the mouse to switch colours.

The game starts off quite easily as the first 4 levels are used as a tutorial, you can choose to skip these and start directly at level 5 if you like, but it’s worthwhile going through the ground rules. Level 13 introduces a (nameless) red alien who will help you along by trading your balls for power ups.

StarBlocks is a puzzle game. Your goal here is to collect in a limited time a certain number of “stars” by removing the “Star blocks” from the board. To do so, click your mouse button to rotate any group of 2 x 2 squares on the board and try to form groups of four blocks of the same color to remove them from the board. Press the space bar to change the rotation from clockwise to counterclockwise and vice-versa.

Storage is a Sokoban clone that features a 3D isometric view. Your goal here is to help your little avatar (Use the arrow keys to move) to push crates around a maze, and put them onto the green areas. Only one crate can be pushed at a time and crates can’t be pulled.

Your goal in this little puzzle game is to move the metal plates around and uncover the treasure box. Due to their weight, only one plate can be lifted at a time.

To pick up a plate, click it. Rotate the plate by clicking a neutral place or flip it over by dragging the plate outside the board and then clicking it.
