83-years-old Bette Calman is living proof that the ancient art of yoga can do wonders on the human body.

Bette Calman has been practicing and teaching yoga for the last 40 years and, although other people her age can hardly move anymore, she can pool of difficult yoga moves that put teenagers to shame. She can execute the “peacock” a difficult position in which the body is held horizontally, using only the power of the arms, the “bridge”, “lotus” and can stand on her head with unnatural ease.

Asked when she is going to retire, Calman said

‘You’re never too old. The body is a remarkable instrument.

‘It can stretch and stretch, and get better all the time. Forget age’

Ms Bette Calman teaches up to 11 classes every week, in Williamstown, Australia, teaching others the remarkable effects of yoga.

Sean Murphy of Lansing, Michigan breaks the world record of putting the most Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches in his mouth by stuffing 16 live roaches into his mouth at one time. This beats the previous record of 11 which was set by Travis Fessler of Florence, Kentucky. The record was broken by Murphy to promote Preuss Pets an amazing family operated pet store in Lansing, Michigan.

Here are the Rules…

1. The Roaches have to be over 2 1/2 inches making it an adult Madagascar hissing cock roach.
2. Sean has to put more than 11 in his mouth to break the record.
3. Once more than 11 are placed in his mouth he has to keep them in there for at least 10 seconds.

Now that digital music releases aren’t shocking any longer expect to see a few more of these on the digital horizon. Rap trio, Get Busy Committee (GBC), is releasing their latest album “Uzi Does it” on a USB flash drive shaped like an Uzi machine gun. The Uzi will likely have just enough space to hold the album’s tracks in MP3 format and no more. The memory stick fits into the Uzi as its clip. It would be really cool if the follow up album became available as an extra-mag-only version. That would enhance the environmental benefits of departing from the CD and DVD distribution industry. Those “keep” cases and packaging are huge generators of landfill waste and any move away from wasteful is a good one.

Listening to the album the band is definitely trying to move in a slightly different direction from overly “serious” street rap. The Uzi icon makes that a little hard to believe without listening though. The picture of the Koala with an Uzi on the CD cover is almost adorable and only a little disturbing. We’re fairly certain they were trying for the latter. The Uzi should hit e-tailers in early November.

The world’s biggest burger has been unveiled. The enormous meal sells for 499 dollars at Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, Michigan, USA. Restaurant owner Steve Mallie said it took eight hours to bake the bun big enough to hold the 185lb burger.
