The game is called “Ships” and lets you take the helm on ships – barges, cargo ships, container ships, and even a cruise ship (the QM 2). Everything is in 3D, you can drive the ships anywhere in the world, there are sound effects, physical modeling, and realistic visual effects that makes this a wonder to behold. Not only that, but the author – Paul van Dinther – has created some great camera tools to make it easier for people to follow the action and see the sights. This is the best example of the Google Earth API I’ve seen to date.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Invisible Tetris

Game videos

Games

Video

amazing

tetris

Did you know you can actually finish tetris? It is designed for computer and video games by allowing interaction between objects or other characters in real-time. By using dynamical simulation, Havok allows for more lifelike worlds and animation, such as ragdoll physics. The company has also released a Havok Animation and Havok FX, which uses Shader Model 3.0 on consumer GPUs for effects physics such as smoke.

Euphoria is a game animation engine created by NaturalMotion based on Dynamic Motion Synthesis, NaturalMotion’s proprietary technology for animating 3D characters on-the-fly “based on a full simulation of the 3D character, including body, muscles and motor nervous system”. Instead of using canned animations, the characters’ actions and reactions are synthesized in real-time, and so are different every time even when replaying the same scene. Euphoria runs on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

Game Video: Voice Pitch Contolled Racing Game!

Game videos

Games

Video

Take out your microphone and become a powerful race car engine!
