Internet: Google Helps You Follow The Olympic Torch Route
The Beijing summer Olympics don’t begin until August 8th, but you can start to get in the mood now by following along with an Olympic torch tracker being run by the Google Earth & Maps team.

The Torch Relay map allows you to follow the path of the age-old flame, and learn about the cities it passes through as it makes its way across numerous countries and bodies of water. You can even embedding a customizable map in your own page so that you and others can enjoy it. You also have the choice to view the info by activating a new Google Earth layer.

The route is made up of two colors, with red showing where the torch has been, and black showing where it still has to go before reaching Beijing to light the giant cauldron.
