BRITISH women will spend an average of more than EIGHT YEARS of their lives shopping, a study has found.

The figure is calculated on the basis of a day worth of normal shopping hours.

It stacks up to 3,148 “9 to 5” days or 25,184 hours over 63 years.

The poll of 3,000 shoppers found women make 301 trips to the stores per year. That includes 84 food shops, 30 for clothes, 27 for toiletries, 15 for shoes and 18 for accessories.

But the likes of Man United striker Wayne Rooney’s fashion-obsessed fiance’e Coleen McLoughlin and Liverpool star Steven Gerrard’s partner Alex Curran have probably ALREADY spent eight years shopping.
